Floor Tile - Titanic's First Class Smoking Room

This floor tile was manufactured for use in the first class smoking room onboard Titanic. After workers finished laying the smoking room floor, the leftover tiles were used to tile the floors of various executive offices at the Harland & Wolff Shipyards, including the office of Titanic's builder Mr. Thomas Andrews. In the early 1970's when Harland and Wolff was renovating their office space, a few of the remaining Titanic tiles were taken up and released for sale.
