Postcard

This is another example of an early Titanic disaster postcard. This postcard was produced in two editions. This is the first and rarest edition which begins with "The Titanic S.S." unlike the more common version which was corrected to read "The S.S. Titanic".

Photographs of the Titanic were rare due to her short life span, so pictures of her nearly identical sister Olympic were often substituted. This postcard features the Olympic posing as her lost sister.
